Sumners Rd Interchange Upgrade

Client: BMD Constructions

Project Address: Queensland

Scope of Works: Supply line removal to over 4000m2 of existing line marking using high pressure water blasting, and provide temporary line marking to TMR Specifications.

Equipment Used: Stripe Hog 3000

Roadline Removal was engaged by BMD Constructions in August 2019 to provide line removal and line marking for the temporary re-alignment of traffic lanes whilst upgrade works to Sumners Rd and the Centenary Motorway take place. High pressure water blasting was identified as the preferred removal method on this project due to dust concerns, the age of the pavement, and the condition of the existing markings. Water blasting is an environmentally sound removal process; providing clients and stakeholders with peace of mind and environmentally conscious outcomes.

This ongoing project has been the perfect showcasing of the Stripe Hog 3000’s capabilities; easily removing old line marking paint without damaging the substrate asphalt, great maneuverability into tight spaces, and ease of working within work zones under live traffic conditions. This provides the ability for Roadline Removal to limit onsite downtime and to successfully deliver the large-scale projects of this nature ahead of schedule.
